St Joseph's Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located on the grounds of the St Joseph's Catholic School in Mount Isa, in the suburb of Happy Valley.
We provide outside school hours care and vacation care for the students attending St Joseph's, St Kieran's Catholic schools and St Joseph's Kindergarten in Mount Isa.
At St Joseph's OSHC, we provide an extension to your child's day, in an engaging and interactive environment that supports educational play. Our newly rebuilt playground offers an abundance of shade, giving children the opportunity to play, explore and engage in a natural outdoor environment donned by decking areas and native flora and fauna.
Interactive, Engaging Care in a Natural Environment
Located on the St Joseph's Catholic School site in Happy Valley, our centre has strong connections with the local, school and Parish community. Within our service, we have several staff members who contribute to the continuity of care for the students from the classroom to the OSHC.
Consisting of two large rooms opening out onto our beautiful playground, we offer various activities and experiences in indoor and outdoor settings, giving children freedom of choice every day. The St Joseph's educators are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with each individual child to enhance their experience, working under a program built on the child's interests and abilities.
