Ingham early learning centre is located in the Hinchinbrook Shire in the township of Ingham. Servicing the surrounding areas, Ingham ELC facilitates care for the tight-knit community's earliest learners. Within our small town, we adore creating a centre that feels like one big family, where everyone is welcome.

Delivering a safe, reliable and interactive long day care facility, our centre has developed strong relationships with both St Patrick's Parish and Our Lady of Lourdes School. We regularly participate in school, parish and community events where the children are welcomed into a supportive space to transition into the next stage of their education journey.

Exceptional Long Day Care in Ingham

At Ingham ELC, our early learning centre focuses on developing a space that fosters active learning and the development of the whole child. We acknowledge and respect each child as unique individuals and adore being able to share everyday experiences with these early learners. Our programs are play-based and include educational, religious, and child-led curriculum. We are pleased to create such an environment for each child to grow, explore and develop positively.

The Ingham early learning centre is built on a foundation of wonderful staff, quality care and a welcoming setting. At Ingham ELC, we care for children from 15 months and offer a Queensland Government approved kindergarten program for children in the year transitioning into prep. Each child is provided with a diverse, culturally inclusive and adventurous program – we're confident that your little ones will flourish under our care.

How long have you worked in early childhood and/or education and care?

I have worked in early childhood education for 14 years.

Why were you drawn to become an educator in early childhood/OSHC?

I was drawn to becoming an early childhood educator because I love working with children and watching them learn and grow. I believe that the first five years of children's lives are the most important. I also hold a firm belief that all children should have the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe, fun and welcoming environment.

What is your favourite thing about being a service leader/teacher (Director/Coordinator)?

My favourite thing about my position as a service leader is the people I work with, including the children. I love being able to get to know each of the families and working as part of an amazing team.

What is the best thing about your centre/kindergarten/OSHC?

The best thing about our centre is that we have a great team of caring educators and a beautiful, spacious outdoor environment for everyone to enjoy.

What is one thing that you tell all families?

The one thing that we make known with every family within our centre is that everyone is always welcome! Our centre prides itself on inclusivity.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking and camping. I also enjoy spending my spare time with friends and family.
