St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre is located in the suburb of Pioneer, in the mining region of Mount Isa in North-West Queensland. Listed by the Guinness World Records as the world's biggest city (land wise), Mount Isa is home to the iconic Mount Isa Rodeo and 22,000 residents.
St. Mary MacKillop is one of the leading Early Learning Centres providing exceptional long daycare services to the local community of Pioneer and Mount Isa.
At St. Mary MacKillop, we provide the foundation for children to develop socially and educationally in a safe and nurturing environment. Our programs are designed in the child's interest and are planned to continuously build on each child's learning ability and skill. Providing a clean, safe, and engaging facility, our qualified educators are passionate about encouraging creativity, exploration and experimentation while learning.
Mount Isa Long Day Care
Our centre has many families and staff from different cultures and backgrounds who are encouraged and supported in sharing their experiences with educators, children, and other families. Community is a fundamental aspect of the service offered by St Mary Mackillop Early Learning in Mount Isa. We regularly have visits from Father Mick from the local Parish. Our centre is also directly next door to St Kieran's school, where we visit the library and have set up a buddy system. Also, next door to the Ngukuthati Family Centre, the centre's staff members regularly attend our service for placement and share indigenous knowledge with our educators and children.
As a long daycare service, St. Mary MacKillop provides care for children from six weeks old, delivering a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program for children before they transition into prep the following year.
